About the service

The National Heritage Board’s database for archaeological sites and monuments provides information about ancient and historical remains located on both land and under water. The database contains information on more than 1.7 million remains in nearly 600 000 places.

You will find information about remains such as rune stones, rock carvings, cemeteries, mines, remains of crofts, places of execution, shipwrecks and much more. The chronological span is wide – from the Early Stone Age to the 20th century AD.

There is also a back end where archeologist can register new findings.

My role

My responsibility includes continuously development for design, copywriting and art direction. I work close to the product owner, product leader and the development teams. I have also been working with qualitative research close to the actual users. The methods I have been using have been in form of interviews and prototype testing.
